View Full Version : 71 camaro on Ridetech (12" wheel question)

i have 71 camaro with the older version Ridetech rear suspension... Im mini tubbing it this winter and I'm sending my wheels out to get stretched from 10" to 12" but it seems that 12" will hit the bottom of shock... anybody with this issue... thanks in advance...

I believe I talked to you on the phone the other day... if not, I had the same question! lol

We have a weld on shock mount instead of the bolt on bracket available that will allow a little more clearance. Our Track 1 car is running a 335 tire on a 12" wheel (new four link w/ mini tubs) with no issues. The lower bracket mounts would be in the same position so I don't see any issues at all. You just have to make sure the backspacing is dialed in completely. Here are the pieces I would put on your rear end (if you're using the bolt on brackets to the factory leaf spring pads):
