Edit* title 2nd 'gen' camaro
I posted this on nasty z28 forums but figured I would get better results here.
Alright so i bought a corvette c5 with no motor or trans. I would like to buy an entire 2nd gen camaro fiberglass body from a company that i have seen for around $3k (i know i will get hate for this).

I was hoping to get some ideas of how to set it up. im thinking i just take off the corvette body, cut out everything but the floor and possibly the dash/ firewall. Then weld a 12 pt roll cage and drop the body onto some custom mounting points. I have a good amount of experience with welding and chassis fabrication.

i know the camaro has a 4" longer wheel base, so i figure my options are to move the wheel wells inward 2" per side via fender flares. Or... much harder, i can move the front subframe 4" forward and reposition the motor mounts 4" behind that so the torque tube doesn't have to be extended.

So i guess im looking for some ideas on how to wrap this corvette with a 2nd gen camaro body. stock c5 floor and modifying seems like it could be easiest so far. but maybe building a custom floor and dash will be better.

Is the c5 frame itself wider than the outer rocker width of the 2nd gen camaro?
What do yall Think??

Yeah that LOOKS great. But why wouldn't I just get frame rails off a c5 and cut up the sections where the a arms attach and weld those to my custom frame?

Plenty of inspiration here in this first gen build:

Look up projectrecycled on Instagram. He’s building cars on c5/6 plus sells the correct brackets for the suspension.
