I am looking to put some sort of LS in my project. What’s the best way to get a motor and trans along with the wiring to make it all work? I am looking to put a manual trans in it also if that matters. Let me know what’s the best way to make this happen.

I would take a look at the GM Connect and Cruise packages.

Unless you know the seller to be able to trust him and know the history of an engine, I would buy a new crate engine. These days, crates can actually be about the same price and your questionable junk yard pull. The connect and cruise a simple easy kit

Buy a Used aluminum gm truck engine from a salvage yard with low mileage. Basic mods, there is a alot of places that build stand-alone harnesses these day, google, facebook, and craigslist you should be able to find a company that will build you a brand new harness and flash the ecu for 500-700$. Depends on how low your ride height is you might have to cut the tunnel for a t56. Look at my build link, im in the process of building a 68 Jav and pretty much got the motor and trans set in. If you have any question feel free to shoot me a message. I also got a hydraulic master setup for our pedals if your interested. im thinking about going to a wilwood pedal setup.
