Does anyone know how much the hood on Prodigy's Camaro costs? I know I can get one from Rick's, but I wanted to give Prodigy Customs a shot as well.

I have one for sale that I purchased from Prodigy Customs, same kind, I will not be using it because the project will not be finished, selling it off too. According to them, much better quality than other makes.

It is the same one Rick's sells, and MusclemMachines got his from me. So see what kind of deal he can give you. Also, so you know, the hood is called a "Stinger hood" as in "Yenko Stinger". Even though Camaro's were called Stompers, they still played off the Stinger name.

Hey frank how is the fit on the stinger hood? I am really looking at using one for my build since every camaro seems to have a cowl hood, which i also like. My car is a low buck (if you can call it that) pro-touring type build with a big block 427 and think the stinger hood would set it off. do you have to use different springs and does it use the original latch?

Ours actually has a warp in it causing the center to be a bit to low. I was a little disappointed. All in all though, it probably fits as well as any glass hood. Not a budget piece though at $800+.

You can use the stock hinges, but WITHOUT the springs. It WILL cause the hood to crack. Speaking of hinges, I got a sneak peak at some new hood hinges from Detroit Speed. They are SWEET! They are trying them out on their test car 1st. Kyle told me to look for them after the 1st of the year.

VFN does make a version, but Prodigy and Rick's get theirs from some guy here in South Carolina that supposedly does a good job with them.
