View Full Version : ARP Bolt Torque Specs

When you all swap out stock hardware for ARP hardware on LS aluminum blocks, do you use the ARP general torque specs or GM stock specs? I know the torque is to acheive proper stretch of the fastener, but seems ARP specs are very high.

Bolts like the LS water pump. The instructions say to see their generic specs.,

I would use the GM specs and make sure to use antisleeze....as I recall the water pump bolts are 8mm? Don't need a lot of torque.

Waterpump bolt specs are 11lbft first pass then 22lbft final pass
