F.A.S.T Ignition Box retard timing... Failsafe

I will be spraying methanol under boost in my 68 camaro and run a F.A.S.T Ignition box. I was wondering if I can use the box as a failsafe. That if the methanol pump fails, the box can automatically retard timing, and basically save my engine
