Here is a link on summit where I got it from.. cost me $1026 plus tax.. I want 750.. plus the 20 for shipping..I had it in the car, its a little scratched where the gauge cluster sits on it..Look at the pics.. Full disclosure.. I swapped out for a new one cause Im a dummy.. I didnt know if you do a LS swap and use there column, you need to add a "special" relay... I went to summit bought another one, and put this in the box to RMA.. cause I knew it was bad.. HA, soon as I called the Ididt folks they new immediately, and yes it fix it..I had them send me 2 since I just put a new one and it was starting to do the same thing. When you run a LS, it needs a constant 12volts, the relay that comes with it is for Carb type cars, they didnt need a constant for a computer, the relay they sent me for free, make LS engines work :) So needless to say.. It cost me to learn a hurtful lesson, or at least should have called Ididit, has all the install parts new, and the keys, and the "RELAY"

Now that it's sold, what ECM are you using. I have only had that problem with a MAST ecu. Done several with GM and Holley without issue.

What part number was this? PC or paint??

I guess it depends on where your 12v for the ECM is coming from. Mine sucks power from the HEI, so the Column is irrelevant.

I was using a Holley Dominator set up.. we went all the way to looking at the signal coming out of the column and saw it drop, the Holley rep said its gotta be constant

Rob, the power gets to that HEI wire through the ignition switch, on the column.

Weird on the Dominator, but good to know.

A HEI needs constant power too to run a carb car right?

Yes and no.

The IDIDIT ignition switch drops power on the ignition (pink) wire between start and run. So you when you let off the key after starting, there is a very short amount of time where 12 volts is not present at the ignition (pink wire) wire.

An HEI distributor doesn't care, you just won't have any spark for that very short time......you would never notice it.

A factory ignition switch doesn't drop that contact between start and run.

Interesting, so what makes this other relay special? Does it have a part # on it?

I don't know, haven't held one in my hand. The car we did with the Mast setup and IDIDIT column was about a 50/50 on it starting......as in it worked for me almost always and almost never for the customer. So I came up with workaround and never changed it.
