Steering Column Keys

This may sound a little strange so here goes. When I bought my 68 Chevelle, it didn’t come with much basically only the shell and had no steering column. I’m well into my build and started thinking about keys for the car. I bought a steering column from Flaming River that has a key switch in the column. I’ve just emailed Flaming River but I think they will not have keys. I’m about to contact GM Canada to see if they can provide me with a key code and then when I buy new locks have them keyed for the new key code.

Has as anyone else run into this and what did you do?
