Radiator & Transmission Cooler

I have a 68 Chevelle with a LS3/4L75E tranny, Are there any advantages or disadvantages to having a radiator with a integral tranny cooler.

My 98 Jeep Wrangler LS1/4L60E has the trans cooler in the radiator. It's worked well for over 10 years. Other LS swaps I've done with autos have external coolers mounted in front of the radiator. I like the stacked plate coolers. The external coolers will give you more cooling capacity.
