I wanted to share my 57 chevy pro touring build with the forum. The project started a couple months ago, so I will catch you up and try to keep the tread updated as it progresses. The car is a 1957 chevy 210 (VB) vin California built in Van Nuys. The Body was rotisserie sandblasted then primed with PPG DP90, The chassis was sandblasted and coated in POR15 and topcoat. The car has Ridetech coil-overs with remote reservoirs front and rear with Ridetech Strongarm control arms and muscle bar up front with Heidts 4 bar, sway bar and loaded 9" in the rear. Flaming river rack and pinon. Brakes are 6 piston 2 piece discs up front and 4 piston 2 piece discs in the rear. The wheels are billet specialties 18x8 and 20x10 on bridgestone potenza s001 tires. The engine is a ls1 built by redline backed by a 4l80e. Fitech intake, throttle body and engine/transmission management. At this stage im trying to wrap up the fuel system, wiring for chassis and engine management, vintage air and power steering lines, and panel fitment. Enjoy. 158002158001158000157999157998157996157997

Looks like a solid foundation to start with, keep the posts coming, I have a Fitech computer & harness that I'll be using for when I convert to LS platform so I might learn a few things along the way. The valve covers add a nice bit of nostalgia.

Thanks. I'll keep you posted on the Fitech, should have the engine running in the next few days.

If that's your shop, I have to say I'm in love with your high windows and brick. Killer 57 As well. I always miss my Black Widow when I see a new 57 build. Keep up the awesome photos. You obviously know how to color balance and I enjoy good composition almost as much as I love killer builds so keep up the good work.

Thanks, I've had thoughts of switching the car over to 150 trim and absolutely love the car in the link below. If you have pictures of your car I love to see them.

I dunno. That trim reminds me too much of 1955 trim.

You really want to screw up someone's day, show them a 56 150.

This weeks progress.... To keep the frame rails clean the fuel and battery lines were run inside the frame, custom radiator lines were made with polished and bead rolled aluminum tube secured with shrink clamps and the rear shock reservoirs were mounted.

Working on the exhaust now, building the system from scratch using 304 polished exhaust tubing and magnaflow polished muffles. Everything is first tacked together and assembled, then final welding and finish polishing. I took 4 pictures from start to finish of the same joint.

Few updates, have the exhaust finished back to the rear end, Fired the engine up for the first time and roughed in idle settings, lokar shifter and gas pedal installed, steering finished, Dakota digital rtx gauges wired and drove it around my parking lot. Here's a few pictures of the exhaust.
