Trying to get my 429 bolted in my '66 comet. The motor is physically in, but I cant find a motor/frame mount setup to work. I have talked to different people and have had different setup ideas, but nothing lines up correctly. Is the crites restoration or dark horse performance kits my only option, or is there a mix and match of frame/ motor mounts that might work. I still have the complete 73000 mile Marquis that i pulled the 429/c-6 from. Thanks for any help on this anyone might have. -- jason

I have a 66 Fairlane, but have a 427 FE instead of a 385 series. I'm pretty sure you're going to
have to go w/ Crites or somebody's kit.

You might check these places too:

but I'm 99% certain the answer will be to use Crites (or Dark Horse).

Crites makes headers for this swap; I know FPA makes them too:

can't say which one is better.

I gotta say, the market for big block fords on this board is pretty small ;-)
