I want to upgrade the brakes on my 71 Monte Carlo and have been interested in using the 4th gen F-body brakes. Has anyone did this conversion and if so what are some things that I need to be aware of? Will 15" rims still fit(I still use the stock rally wheels for winter)?

The rears are a simple bolt on. For the front you need brackets for the calipers. Fifteen inch wheels will not fit!

Thank you. I was hoping I could get away with 15"s. Looks like I'll have to get some different winter wheels.

As I recall, 98-02 F bodies used 17" wheels from the factory. If you want good brakes that fit inside 15" wheels, check out the Baer SS 4+ system. I'm using them on the front of my Cougar and they work awesome. The kit comes with aluminum hubs and uses an 11" rotor with aluminum hats. Everything is very light too!
