I知 working the bugs out of my first LS swap, and the car died after a quick trip down the interstate. She値l run, but just barely at the moment.

Among other things, I知 thinking it may be the fuel pump. It started whining the same time the car started acting up.

Is there an in-tank pump that everyone likes? I知 running one of the Tanks-Inc Walbro pumps now. It probably has less than 100 miles on it, but it certainly doesn稚 sound healthy. Or at least it sounds a lot different now than it has.

thanks in advance for the help! I知 trying to get parts ordered in time to get them here for the weekend.

Can you fit a stock GM pump in your tank, like the Camaro ss pump? That’s what I plan on using except I have a different tank than you.

I'd call Tanks Inc. That pump should work fine. If it's making a weird noise it may have failed.

I'll have to do some research to see if it's a direct swap into a Tanks Inc. tank. I would certainly like OEM reliability at this point :)

I'll definitely give them a call. Going back through my receipts it looks like I ordered everything through Summit. And like most good projects, it's taken a while to get to the point where it actually ran. So I'm not sure if they'll still warranty it or not.

Are you using the corvette filter regulator? I usually use the WIX ones but I got one from Tanks that made a hell of a sound. I changed the pump only to find out it was filter regulator. I smashed it with the biggest hammer I could find so I don't know what was causing it.

Just something else to check before blowing it apart.

Nearly full.

Yes. I'm using the vette regulator/filter. It's certainly possible it's the regulator, and I figured I'd replace it while I'm at it just to be sure.

You may be on to something here. It sounds like there's another noise besides just the pump. The regulator/filter is right next to the tank, and it's definitely a candidate.

I bought the Tanks Inc EFI 69 Camaro. The pump is a 255. Works well. I bought a C5 FFR kit from Summit. The FFR leaked. Bad o-ring who knows. I called Summit and they sent me a new one. It didn't have a brand name on it so I went out and bought a Wix brand. The Summit supplied FFR is now my spare. I have a C5 FFR in LS swapped Jeep TJ for over ten years and it's worked well. The fuel pump is a 255 and is the same age.

I would check fuel pressure at the fuel rail. Easy enough to change out the FFR. I've used Bosch 044 external pumps on other swaps and I was surprised the 255 was a bit louder even though it is inside the tank.

Vaporworx sells a retrofit to be able to use GM OEM pumps in aftermarket tanks. I use their kit to retrofit the Camaro fuel pump module to the Rockvalley tank in my car.
