Does anyone out there know or at least have an educated opinion regarding when a stock LS aluminum bellhousing should be replaced with a Quicktime or similar bellhousing? I'm running a mildly updated (about 550 HP), LS3 with no plans for racing it, just street performance. Can I feel safe in using the stock bellhousing? I have a Mcleod RST clutch and a T56 transmission. I appreciate any feedback on this.

Cars are dangerous. Modified cars are dangerouser....er.
Only you can determine the level of risk you are willing to accept.
I like and use the stock bellhousing.

I'd guess you're probably safe with the stock one at that level... but, you can never be too safe

Hmmmmmm, how many ZL1's, CTS-V's and Z28's, and the like were produced and sold to the public with stock bell housings.... 650 HP stuff with stock bell housings, sold to the folks who are willing to hire Dewy Cheatum and How, every time they spill a cup of coffee. I don't think any OEM would take on that liability. I would say your stock bell will be just fine if your rear tires last more than three months. IMHO.
