View Full Version : CTSV/ZL1 Bellhousing / T56 Magnum input shaft

I am using the ctsv bellhousing as recommended on this site with a t56 magnum on my lsa swap so I can utilize the oem twin disk clutch, during mockup I noticed the input shaft looked like it was not engaged enough into the pilot bearing, After some research I found out the ctsv/zl1 tr6060 input shaft is .5 inches longer then the t56 magnum input shaft.

Now I am to deep into this swap that I need to make this work, Is there a extended bearing bushing that I can use on the lsa to make up the .5 inches?

Or possibly swap out the t56 magnum shaft with a tr6060 shaft?

No idea .. good question thou , I'd be interested to see how this plays out , I have a quicktime bellhousing but, have considered swapping to the ctsv one

mine is position B and still short 1/2 inch

See the sharpie mark on the tip of the input shaft?

Is your input shaft engaging the pilot less than that?

That actually doesn't look that bad but then again I really can't tell exactly how far into the pilot bearing the shaft is going. Try putting a cable tie on the end of the transmission shaft such that it will slide back as the shaft is pushed into the pilot bearing and use that to determine how far the shaft is actually going. I would say that if it's going in the same amount as the thickness of the pilot bearing then you should be good to go.
