Been lurking around. I recently bought a 62 falcon that I thought had good bones and parts. Well it has good parts, but the body is questionable. So dealing with what I have and turning it into a road course, open road, and around town car.
I thought I did my homework well, but unfortunately the wheels vs the specs I got are a bit different. I knew these cars had narrow space for front wheels so I picked up a set of 18x7 with 4" backspacing. However they are actually 8" with the lips. If I roll the fenders, will I have enough room to tuck the top of the tire and still have full functionality lock to lock?
I love the look, I just worry about the functionality. Car is on a TCI Mll front end and will be swapping to the ridetech single adjustable coilovers to adjust height.
Do I need to order a different wheel or will this work without issue?
