Hi Guys,

I'm leaning toward House of Kolor's Orion Silver for my color but I'm not sure about the Metallic...

Would the Glamour metallic just be too much???

Hopefully some of you guys have expericence with these type Metallics....

thanks,
TIM

It's a judgement call that you need to make. Personally, Orion silver is one of my favs. It makes a great base for candies and pearls or looks fantastic alone. JMO. I've painted Orion silver many times and have always had good luck with it.

Thanks for the reply...

Have you always used House of Kolor PRIMER when you used the Orion Silver...???

Just wondered if you had used any other primer and still had good results with the Orion Silver Color...

Thanks,
TIM

Reason I'm asking is that my painter has the car currently primed and ready to paint... but not with HoK primer...

Since I'm leaning toward the HoK Orion Silver...Should we just put a couple coats of HoK Primer OR just begin with the painting process...

I'll def. use HoK CLEAR...

thanks,
TIM

It depends. I would say that as long as it's a brand name primer(DuPont, Marhyde, PPG, etc) you'll be alright. I'm not a big fan of sealer, but if you're concerned about it, use a HOK sealer before the base. Are you going to put any pearls or Kandies over the top of the silver?

we spray HOK over standox(dupont) primer all the time no problems here. I will say I am not a fan of sealer either!

Thanks Guys...

I'll order the HoK fine metallic base - orion silver, the HoK reducer, the HoK hardener, and the HoK Klear...

We'll use non HoK primer and no sealer...

I'm wanting to paint only the orion silver...no kandys...

Hopefully it will turn out sweet...

I've seen a few cars with only the orion silver and they all look rather tasty...

Thanks again,
TIM
