18 x 10 w/5.5 backspace 275 40 18 in rear?

Has anyone successfully run this combo, 18 x 10 w/5.5 backspace / 285 40 18, in the rear of 3" lowered (hotchkis leaf springs) stock width rear end and unmodified fender wells in 68 camaro?
Fender lips have been heavily rolled for max clearance already as current setup is 18 x 9.5 c5 wheels with 5.5 backspace (2"spacers) & 275 35 18 tires now with no rubbing.

I've currently got 18x10 wheels with 5.5 effective backspace (5.75 BS with 0.25" spacer) on the rear of my car with 275/35/18 tires. I also have the fenders rolled and there is plenty of room in my opinion for more tire. I think a 285/35/18 would work great.

I really think rolling the fenders is the key.
