Evening gents. My wife and I have fallen in love with this area for the last 17 years. We've been all over the place from Knoxville to Gatlinburg and from Asheville to Charlotte. We bought property in Granite Falls, NC and hopefully will be there within a year. We love Texas but dammit...it's too freakin' hot!! Hurricanes, the flatness, no seasons...and did I mention it's freakin' hot?? Love the people, the politics, the jobs and the food. We found a lot of these qualities in TN and NC. I'm a 22 year CNC machinist that works for an oil and chemical company and NC has plenty of those jobs. What we are looking for is a town that is going to be growing that we can retire in, and has rolling hills and countryside. My wife still has her nurses' license and works in other fields in the medical industry. We no doubt will find jobs with ease. We just need to pick a small town between Asheville and Charlotte. Hopefully a town close to the BRP will be a choice. Always love the pics of cruising the Smokey's I see here. Anyway, fire away bc we have some research ahead of us. Thanks.

Mooresville, NC. is racecar central. If you are even a little interested in racing that is a place to consider.

Been to Mooresville, great little town. Even ate at Lancaster's. Man, talk about sensory overload. The ultimate man cave with food.

I'm in Huntersville, right between Mooresville and Charlotte, It's a great place and booming. if you're looking to stay in the mountains more, Boone is great, but about as far out as Asheville.

Actually stayed in Boone up in the mountains. Was awesome. Boone is a college town and I can imagine the chaos when the kids are there. Great little area though. I'll check out Huntersville.

Hendersonville is a nice town, have lived there for the past nine years. No regrets.

Love all these towns. We were there for a whole week and I don’t think I ever hit one straightaway. Hopefully 2019 will be our year.
