Hey Guys,
Just trying to get a feel regarding when it's "safe" to go ahead and put synthetic oil in a rebuilt LS3. The engine has almost 300 miles on it and I changed it the first time after having it on a dyno. I would like to go ahead and put Mobil 1 in it. I think it's broken in enough to be safe but looking for feedback.
Also, I'm running a stock Camaro 5 qt pan. Do you feel this is enough oil with a stroked LS3? It's only about 550 flywheel HP and street driven.
Thanks a lot!!

My engine, like every other car on the planet these days has had synthetic since day 0. I wouldn't slow down on putting what you want in it.

If you're spinning the motor above 6500 on a road or autocross course, probably not. You should be ok for grocery gett'n but, be careful on the g forces driving around a shopping cart.

Considering that we put synthetic in them from the factory at GM, you are fine to put in synthetic whenever you feel like it.
