Eliminated approx 75% of the rear end squat during hard acceleration.

Certainly not news to guys who have already done the mod...

But I just heard about it recently and got the Global West front leaf spring brackets with the bolt hole raised 3/4" relative to stock. Also got the Custom Works adjustable rear shackles which perfectly compensated for the drop due to the front spring bracket mod.

Any rate, definitely recommend it for other 2nd gen F-body guys.

Thats why its a good idea to see what the road racers of our cars era did .Because it works. I have the rear sway bar kit on my 1979 Z-28 RS Camaro I also have the Vette brakes C-4 Corvette adjustable mono leaf suspension kit on it.

I did a similar mod to my '71 Nova. I used front spring brackets for a '69 Camaro. One of the holes used to mount the bracket to the body had to be filed to fit but otherwise fit without too much drama. The Camaro bracket raised my front spring eye 1.125" and lowered the rear of the car buy approximately 3/4". The mod totally eliminated all of my wheel hop, even with my flaccid shocks.
I had the Herb Adams mod in mind when I did it.

Nice! Wish it was doable on first gens without modifying the floor.
