Hi PT,

We put a LS7 into a TCI subframe on my 69 Camaro and have a problem with the oil pan as it sits lower than the cradle. The builder says we need to get a lower profile oil pan but the option that he suggested (Speedtech) is 8 weeks out. Any body know if there is another low profile choice or someone that has this oil pan on hand and is willing to sell? I need the pan to be less than 5 inches from flange to lowest point. Also looking for other potential options like a taller motor mounts or something.

This is urgent as this is literally the last thing left that is holding the delivery of my car after being in the shop for 1.5 years.

Thanks in advance

Have you looked at what Moroso, Canton, or other vendors offer?

No, as I don't have any idea what the other options are. I will be looking at the Canton one shortly.

Holley 302-2, 302-3 or the Mast Pan. Holley are easy to get.

Don,

He said LS7...so presumably he needs a dry sump pan.

Andrew, I assumed it was converted to wet sump... :). I didn’t know Speedtech had a dry sump pan.

It's the old ATS fabricated steel dry sump pan.

Sorry I should have stated, it is a wetsump.

Thanks for the info, all of the mentioned oil pans are taller than 5inches unfortunately.

Just to be clear the pan interferes with the cross member or the sump portion behind the cross member is lower than the cross member?

My AutoKraft (rebadged Champ pan) sits even with my TCI subframe on an ls3. The sump on my pan is 5.5"

Did you not use TCI's conversion plates for the motor?

ATS / Speedtech have a wet sump pan. I've had one in the Camaro since 2009 with good results.
