What are you guys doing with Astro Ventilation?

Getting the old system out and prepped for a vintage air unit. Curious about what people are doing with GM astro ventilation ducts? This is a convertible and with new ac I don't really see the need for fresh air vents. Am I missing something?

It'd be a great place for kick panel speakers.

With a/c you are instructed to block them off. I did with mine and also going with kick panel speakers

removes possibility of outside air hot or cold from entering cabin interfering with the potential of the heat/cool unit itself, blocked off and even dynamated over them, used the kick panel area to stach my ECM, harnes / fuse block etc.
