Can this be done without mini tubs?

I’m looking for pics of 18” front and rear setup (not 19/20 or 18/20) that are as wide as possible. I tried to search, but couldn’t find a pic for just 18s as wide as possible.

Ideally id like to go 18x9.5 front and 18x11 rear. I thought I saw someone running 9.5s up front. I know 9s are preferred front and 10.5s rear.

Any help is appreciated!

18x9.5's with 5.75" backspacing (+12 offset) and 18x11's with 6.25" backspace (+6 offset) will fit snugly under a 70-72 Chevelle/El Camino. (stock-width rear & no minitub)

I've got 18x9's & 20x10's, with 255/35/18's and 305/30/20's, on my 70 Elco. Still more room to go larger.

My car is lowered 3", now. Still have plenty of room. I've been doing this stuff for a long time and wouldn't post something that hasn't been done, many times before.

your car is lowered 3" in the back????? and compressed the suspension and not rubbed the tires on stock wheel wells ? if so I don't know how ive never seen that happen on anything over a 295

I'm running an 18x10 front 275/35/18 and 18x11 rear 305/35/18. Went with custom F14 Forgestars and I did an 18x10 6" BS front and 18x11 7" BS rear. They may require a small spacer to get them fine tuned which we are working on once the car is driveable. Hopefully by this summer.

Thank you, this is very helpful! Any chance you could have gone with a slightly taller tire? I’m wanting to run a 275/40/18 front and 305/35/19 rear.

I’m also not dropped all that much. 2” front and rear.

I think the taller front tire is going to cause a problem, although that will depend on how low the car is. The problem area tends to be at the back of the inner wheel well. For instance, on the drivers side, the contact area would be at the wheel well, when the wheels are turned to the left.
