This pains me to sell but I just don't have the time to finish it. This will be an awesome project for someone to finish. I have more than $80k just in parts and hundreds of hours to get it to this point. Now someone else can put their finishing touches on it.
I took the car down to the shell and just about every piece of sheet metal worked or replaced. New quarters, tail pan, trunk pan, Dynacorn doors, fenders, RS/SS header and valance, trunk pan, cowl and DSE firewall fill plate. All sheet metal is Goodmark. One small patch panel in pass front floor, the rest was solid. The windshield back is in epoxy primer. The doors, fenders, front clip are in ERP primer.
I was going for some subtle smoothing on the outside and welded 1997 Cadillac door handles in. Yes, the door handles work with the latch. I always thought the original 3 piece spoiler was too tall and never liked the way it came around the sides. The original Z28 spoiler was too small to offset the chin spoiler so I reworked an original Z28 spoiler to come in right between the two height wise and maintain a one piece spoiler. Ok on to the cool stuff:
Motor - 442ci GM LSX block, JE Pistons 9:1, GM12578449 heads, Precision metal craft intake (the real deal, not the chinese knock-off), 102MM turn-key Engine Supply throttle body, NEW Stainless Works turbo headers, Turbonetics T3-T4 68mm turbos, NEW TIAL 50MM BOV's, 60mm Turbonetics wastegates, NEW Treadstone air to air 2 in 1 out intercooler, 80b injectors, Holley swap oil pan, Comp cam 638 287/284 113. Concept One serpentine drive system and all new accessories including 150 amp alternator, AC compressor, PS pump and damper. C&R Radiator
I did purchase the motor used with the turbos. I was told it came out of a car with 4k mi. on it. Just to be on the safe side, I sent it to be checked. Jan-Cen Motorsports in Buffalo NY went through the entire motor and replaced pistons, rings, bearing and did a complete valve job, new seals, new exhaust valves. If you’re not familiar with
Jan-Cen, it’s owned by Mike Janis – 2 time Pro-Mod champ and yes, he assembled the motor.
Electrical - Holley Dominator EFI ECU with all of the harnesses, boost control, traction control, 02 sensor harnesses, transmission controller. All of the harnesses including the ECU are still in the boxes and never been installed. Brand new 22 circuit Painless wiring harness
Transmission – Jake’s performance Stage 4 4L80e with 28-3200 stahl billet converter
Rear End – Chris Alston FAB 9 housing, Strange S-Track nodular center section with 35 spline Strange axels 3:25 ratio for excellent gas mileage
Wheels – Forgeline gunmetal centers, brushed outers19x12 335/30 rear, 18x10 285/35 front. Nitto tires all around
Brakes – Hydratech hydro-boost and master cylinder. Wilwood all around 14” fronts and 12.75 rears
Frame / Suspension – Chris Alston modular three section frame system, front sub-frame, sub-frame connectors, center cross bars with driveshaft loop, new rear frame rails. VariShock double adjustable coil overs, drop spindles, GM rack, ¾ front and 1 ¼ splined rear sway bar. DSE mini-tubs.
Interior – Ididit tilt steering column, Painless wiring harness, Vintage air A/C, Fessler billet hood and trunk hinges, Ridetech Tiger Cage, Momo steering wheel with quick release coupler, power window motors. I also bought a complete set of Speed Hut gauges (GPS speedo with turn signal and high beam indicators. Tach with shift light, fuel level, fuel pressure, boost, water, volt and oil. New OER dash and faux aluminum dash insert.
Fuel System – Aeromotive dual Phantom in-tank pumps, regulator, filters and fittings – not installed.
I have the low original bucket seats and the rear seats, all of the glass. I do not have door panels and with the mini tubs, the original sail panels will not fit nor do I have them. Body panels still need some minor alignment and final bodywork needs to be completed. I have all of the glass windshield, back and doors, rear bumper and front split bumpers, tail lights bezels.
I’m sure I’m forgetting something. Someone is going to great deal! Email for photos. Asking $49,900. Call/text 585-851-2081 or email. Car is located in upstate NY. I have the original registration (title).
