Dakota Digital tire pressure system compatibility with ??

Hey folks, I'm fixing to get my tires mounted on my Forgeline rims... when I ordered the rims, brackets for the Dakota Digital TPMS system were installed.
Not having given any thought to my panel and gauge decisions yet, I'm wondering if the Dakota unit is only going to work with a Dakota dash mounted unit?

I work in aviation, and most aviation companies will provide electrical parameters for some other brand/type sensor to be substituted if necessary. Is this the case with automotive electronics, or is everything unique or proprietary?

I don’t know how many people have installed them since they came out. Have you tried calling DD?

I did. They wanted to refer me to a distributor. Said nobody had ever asked that question. I didn't realize that they are apparently a new product.
