Ahoy!

Just boarded these forums and bring my boat along with me in the hopes this thing can handle and move like an actual car... :naughty:

150422

It's a 1983 Dodge Mirada 318 which is one of the last 2 door RWD cars from the original era before they developed a FWD fetish for a while. I figure if my insurance company considers it classic, its classic enough for here hopefully. It has been mine for almost 20 years since my grandpa passed it down and has seen very little driving since, stored indoors. Like most cars this age that have been in storage, it is in need of some TLC. The interior is bare, and the car is 300lb lighter (a very good thing IMO). A few small rust spots that will need attention, and just some minor superficial damage. Approximately 60K km on it so it should have some life left in her.

That said, its gonna require a lot of attention and am hoping the information on these forums can help me bring this beast back to life. I am going to have lots of questions and such, but what I know for certain is that I am committed to improving the handling and stopping power of this car while adding a bit more oomph to get it going down the road.

Looking forward to participating and have already enjoyed lurking these pages and many of your builds.

Thanks. You know it's the typical "when life hands you an early 80's Chrysler J body" approach to life hah.
