I have a chance to get some Global West subframe connectors, new in box for 160 plus shipping. How do the GWs compare to others? Also, what do you think of their interlocking body bushing sets?

woohoo post 500! :poke:

YES!!!!!!!!

I was very impressed with the quality and fitment of these in my '69.. fairly easy to install with no cutting up of the car and you still have the ability to remove the front sub. Some welding is required out back but again, they are very very well designed and a good deal too.

Can you tell I like them? lol

Overall the best fitting stuff out there...
Get the suframe bushings installed FIRST.

I agree with all the others, I would take them 100%

Awesome! They arrived in the mail a day or 2 ago along with the interlocking body bushings. Very purty stuff. Its a shame they have to get so dirty.

Do their first gen sfc's fit convertibles?

BTW, I have theirs for my 3rd gen, and they are nice.

They make a specific set for the Verts

I sent my GW connectors back. The left side looked like it was going to cover the front leaf hanger bolt, making it hard to change springs. It also hangs down more than other weld-in's, since it runs under the rear footwell. I plan on just cutting the footwell and welding in some rectangular tube.

Thats what I did, David. But I used 2"x2"x1/8" square tubing and I welded 1"x1"x1/8" angle iron along both sides of the square tubing where it penetrated the floors for added floor strength.

The vert connectors are the shiz-nitty.

I wouldnt use anything else on any of my builds.
