Wondering what size exhaust I will need for this 525 hp engine; 2.5" or 3" or other? Thanks.

All the LS's love a big exhaust, especially the LS3. 1 7/8" primaries on the headers and 3" exhaust is what I'd run.

and what headers fit best? I hear that the holley/hooker headers may have changed recently and not fit as well as they used to...I thinking I am looking for a short or mid tube length to keep some ground clearance...

hearing that manual master cylinder is fine with baer 6 piston pro+ brakes... (so many decisions)

Any of the LS3 crate engines(pretty much only difference is the cam/tune) make plenty of vacuum for power brakes. Super Chevy tested them a few years back and even the aggressive cam had 14". What vehicle is this going in?
For the price of a LS3 crate engine you can have this. https://www.pro-touring.com/threads/127139-2017-Gen-V-LT1-with-8sp-trans-harness-pcm

We've got Hedman 1 7/8" long tubes on our '71. Ground clearance is good so long as you can tuck the x-pipe up against the floor.

I'll have to take a few the next time it is on the lift. Here is the build thread. https://www.pro-touring.com/threads/104530-TCI-Engineering-s-1971-Camaro

My daily driver is producing 560 hp on a 2.5" exhaust, factory size.

I asked the same questions in the links below. 1 7/8" headers with 3" dual exhaust seems to be the way to go.
