Hey guys, I have a c6 corvette pedal that came with my ls3 engine from Texas Speed. I'm getting to the point where I need to mount it in my 2nd gen firebird. Does anybody know of a company that makes a bracket for 2nd gen's that allow the c6 pedal to mount up? Seems like the few i've ran across only works on the cts ls pedal or 1st gen's. Thanks

Pedals are cheap...

The engine included the wiring harness, ecu, and pedal to all work together with the ecu map flashed for the c6 throttle position sensor. Its more than just picking up a pedal at this point which is why I was asking about bracket. After looking all over seems like I will need to fabricate one.

Could you adapt the 1st gen pedal bracket from DSE to work in a 2nd gen? Its so inexpensive, but I'm just not familiar with the firewall on a 2nd gen.

The Scarebird bracket is made for a side mount pedal like the ctsv. My C6 mounts from the bottom instead. Its completely different. I searched alot and talked to different places. Only place I found that had a bracket that would work is CPP unless I ditched the c6 pedal. I placed an order with them. I'll post back after I get it in and mount it up.

Can you use a CTSV or a LS7 pedal that has the side mount holes? Can I see a pic of your Pedal?

I talked with Speartech the other day since I'm using their ecu setup for my ls swap. The c6 pedal came from them w/ their ecu kit. After talking with them further some of their systems can take the ctsv pedal and some cant. They asked me to verify a few things about it to see if its one of the compatible ones. Looks like I have the ecu w/ the map that would of been compatible with the ctsv pedal also. So another option for me could of been to sell the c6 pedal and buy a ctsv pedal/bracket. More trouble than just buying a c6 bracket now though since I know one exists.

Heres a pic of the c6 pedal I have that mounts from the bottom and a picture of how the side mount brackets like the scarebird looks.

Dustin,

I would be curious to know the differences that would mandate the use of one pedal instead of another. My guess is that it has to do with the ECU type and/or possibly the particular OS they are using for various set-ups. I am quite confident that, at least with the GMPP kits, the CTSV, C6, or the Impala SS pedals will work. The GMPP kits use the e67 ECU, but Speartech probably like to use the e38 (guessing).

They seemed like nice guys and were quick to answer my questions. I didn't get to deep into details with them, but I know the one I have from them is the e67. If I talk back with them i'll try to get some more specifics. Maybe it is just the ecu type.

The pedal connection will tell you a lot. Scarebird told me the same thing....CTSV pedal, however that's not all inclusive. The bracket only cares if the mounting holes are the same. I have the E67 ECM too and use the pedal called out for in the GM instructions. Bolts right on to their bracket and works great. The part # I used is not for a Caddy. What does the connector look like on your harness? Is it a 6 pin in-line?

here is the caddy pedal https://www.summitracing.com/parts/nal-10379038?seid=srese1&cm_mmc=pla-google-_-shopping-_-srese1-_-chevrolet-performance&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIqOy2i8K32AIVgsBkCh1uxw0gEAQYAiAB EgKkcfD_BwE

The GMPP ECU and harness kits use the e67 and come with the CTSV pedal. I used the Impala SS pedal without issues. As they say, YYMV...
