Well heres how far weve gotten. I brought the frame back from school, and will be loading the car up on the trailer to bring back to school.

The bigh hole on the firewall, has a sheet metal pattern that goes over it as well. The only thing on the wall will be 3 master cylinders and the steering shaft. It should look pretty clean. We robbed a wiper motor off an 88 Volvo, and mounted under the cowl, was quick and simple and works great.

Are you in Phoenix, AZ?

The a-arm look like from Savitske Classic & Custom.

Looks very good thus far. One thing I'd like to recommend for safety-
Put the spring adjusters inside the frame, not on the lower A arm.

Thanks Tyler, the adjusters are welded in. These may change due to shock angle. We may wait till the car has a little more weight in it, it looks like it will work though.

The adjusters are adjusted all the way down, we hope they dont have to go back up...lol

Also Tyler, we are wondering if you guys make the brackets for the motor mounts, to bolt the LS1 style motor in. We are starting on a 69, using a new donated 2000 motor outta a Silverado, smaller motor, but still should be the same block mounts...huh?

Looks very nice!

Same motor mounts.

All Gen III and Gen IV GM V8s use the same mounts. LS1, LS6, LS2, LQ9...the list goes on and on.

Remember....form follows function! Do what it takes to reach your performance goals and the "look" will take care of itself!

I have an LS1 from a 98 TA in a 68 subframe mocked up outside the car & can send you pics if you would like. S&P plates were used with standard SBC subframe mounts.

What size & backspacing do you have on thoses wheels. Looks like the unisteer steering arms clear nicely. How much gap do you have between the wheel and rod end?

And yes I will send you money for the one...I had just forgot about it....PM me with billing info...and or if you have the other side....sorry again..please forgive my mindlessness.... :rtfm:

Just4fun, we would like some pics for sure, and or the number to S&P to buy the plates. The BS on the front wheels are 4.5, Ill have to measure that steering arm clearance for you, its not in front of me, but I think theres like a little more then an inch. Everything clears very well.

Could you post up some pics of the installed wiper motor you "robbed off the Volvo"?

I second the request for photos of the Volvo wiper motor. I'd like to do something similar.

I figured some would want to know about the wiper thing. Keep in mind we only care about two speeds slow and fast, all that other intense research on switches and speeds really does nothing for us.

The motor is in a sorta mocked up mode, but it does work well, we still need to make sure we can installed it, or remove it once the firewall is done....lol Once we got it to work right, we sorta left it at that until the firewall stage...which is these next comming weeks.

I will send picks and discriptions of the steps, it may be a little too low budget for some, but it does work well. Ill try this weekend to post all that.
