View Full Version : 67 pontiac A body frame mounts
getting started on a 67 lemans with a LSA/4L60 swap. The Pontiac frame mounts do not work with the energy suspension 3.1114 mounts.
wondering if I need to get the 64-67 chevy mounts or the 68-72 chevy style mounts? I don't want to buy both to test fit them.
any feedback would be appreciated
Thanks

Your best option is to look at the Holley swap components. They use their own design frame stand that mates with the 4th gen Camaro mounts on the engine side. Also use the 302-2 or 302-3 oil pan. Holley also makes numerous transmission crossmembers for different transmission applications. They also offer a "stock" location mount and a 1" forward mount. The forward mounts offer a lot more clearance in the tunnel for a 4L80e (minor tunnel mods). Using a T56 makes tunnel mods inevitable, but less so with forward mounts than "stock" mounts. The forward mounts also allow you to install the AC compressor low on the passenger side without notching the crossmember (Holley makes a simple AC mount bracket).

Find the parts that you're interested in and look at the installation instructions. Those contain a lot of information.
