Well I was going to go with a Baer Brakes Track Kit, but I recently found out that there is a 6-8 week wait on them. Is there any other alternative? I am just looking for adequate stopping power and most of all, looks. This is just a show/cruiser car and I highly doubt I will be doing any track days with it since I have a dedicated track car already. My car is in Huntington Beach right now being stored at my parent's house so I would like to find a shop around there that can get me some brakes and install them. Thanks in advance for any help.
Oh yeah its for a 1970 Chevelle with a 12 bolt rear end and currently has drum rears and disc fronts, which are broken as of now so thats why I don't want to wait for the Bear Brakes kit. I want to get her back on the road asap.

I talked to Tyler and he is the one that told me about the wait for Baer Brakes. I would love to take it to them, but they can't get me in until February.
I just ordered brakes for my 70 Chevelle today from SSBC. There not the biggest or the best probably but I got all 4 corners for around $2000 with the master cyl and lines. 12" slotted zinc coated rotors in the front with Force 10 dual piston powder coated calipers and the same in the rear with 11.25" rotors. They said they should be here in a week!!:jump:

Tom,
Sign me up! I want a set of spindles for my 71 Camaro and a brake setup with 14" rotors too. There are NO other options for me as I have my mind set on the AFX spindles. Hopefully the AP calipers will balance well with my rear brakes (C5 front calipers, 13" rotors). I will also be looking into the new dual/tandem (?) master cylinder with a balancing bar, and floor pedal setup for all 3 pedals. I will be bugging you guys early next year!!! Keep up the great work,

What about www.touring-classics.com. ? Their kit looks pretty sweet.

^^^Yeah I checked them out already. They are pretty good kits, but a little more expensive than the other options.

Give Precision Brakes Company a call. They are a sponsor of the board and can help you choose the right brakes for your application.
