removing body bushings on my ' 65 Camino

Got worn body bushings on my 1965 El Camino. Is it possible just to remove them and mount the body directly to the frame. I'm not worried or concerned about how smooth the ride will be.

You will mess with the angle/alignment of the steering column to steering box.
