Has any one used there new 1" narrower front control arms? we have a set of speedtechs now but i was wondering if there were any issues as i think i could narrow the ounes i have to help fit the 245/35/19 in the front
If any one has used or looked at them please let me know

I think you should be fine as long as your wheel offset is correct. I have the speedtech arms, also with 245's and I'm happy so far.

When a person starts talking about suspension geometry other than caster, camber, and toe-in, my eyes start to glaze over. So one thing is for sure, I'm certainly no expert when it comes to suspensions. But one thing I have learned is that you can't make changes in arm length with out having an effect on your geometry and/or having to change mounting points. I suspect that the narrower arms are more cosmetic than anything else. If anything, you should be finding a way to make the lower arms longer.

there is absolutely no reason for shorter arms and will have negative affects on geometry, the only solution is to get the right offset wheels.

I'll second that, I have never seen an example where shorter arms made a car handle better. "I believe" most cars that are engineered with handling in mind have longer arms and negative offset on the wheels. The tire size you have in mind isn't very wide at all, not sure why you would need modified control arms??

when they say "narrow" thay are referring to the width of it, not the length. Its widely used for large tire rim clearance. Fat man has a similar product.

A 245/35/19 is almost identical in height to a 245/45/17. As long as your backspacing is correct, you shouldn't have any fitment issues, but every car is different.

I think the off set will be fine just wanted to expolre the options if there was a problem we have a 69 here with HRE'S on it with 235/35/19 and i had to remove the fendre bolt to stop the rubbing. when i ordered the new wheels i ordered an extra 1/2" back space so it should be fine but just wanted some input
Thanks
