Forged 383 value?

I have an engine that I have really no idea what I can sell for. First off it has oil control issues. It smoked a little while running and there is some oil on the plugs. Engine was freshly built. No signs of any metal in the oil filter.

H-beam rods
JE SRP pistons

TrickFlow aluminum heads
Scorpion rockers
MSD billet distributer
Deep pan

Any ideas on what I could get for it?

How many miles are on the engine?, it may be smoking because the rings have not yet seated if it doesn't have very many miles on it. The worth, is what ever someone will be willing to pay for it. The thing that most will be afraid of is the oil issue. Have you done a compression check? If not try that and see what your numbers are.

Was the crankcase properly vented?

Engine had a thousand miles, good compression and breathers on both valve covers. I listed it on a local site (with full disclosure) and sold it the second day for 2k. Thanks for the replies, on to the LS world for me...
