As the owner of a 65 GMC it did not take much to get my best friend to jump in with both feet to build one of his own.

We have a nice big shop here in the back of my building that we set up to build this truck in.

We even built our very own fabrication fixture to build on.

Plans go like this;
Rob @ No Limit sold us a wide ride front end, A raised rail rear kit, a Moser 9 rear end narrowed 8" his fat bar 4 link kit and of course Willwoods stoppers for all corners.

So I will just post a bunch of pictures to date. we have been on this build since Sept. 1

here is the stock frame loading on to the fixture.145323

once the stock frame and fixture were married it was time to cut the back off and make room for the No Limit raised rear rail set up

the raised rear rail kit that Rob built is a dream to work with. I could not be more impressed both as a builder and as a fabricator.

I boxed it all in and welded in all the cross members to insure rigidity and strength

Once that was complete I welded on the forward 4 bar mounts.

145334145335

Then we went ahead and got the rear end in and welded on the Panhard bar mount and shock mounts, then hung that beautiful Moser housing.

The "Wide Ride" from No Limit is an impressive piece of kit. Simple as heck to get into position and built like it was designed for the Space Shuttle.

We had this on and adjusted including removing the stock front end in under 2 hours.

That is pretty much to date. The frame is boxed and we have the body sand blasted, will be installing tons of new sheet metal in it as well as a sweet paint job.

This truck is powered by a 454 hooked up to a kitted 700 R4

Will continue to update as we get deeper into this build. Only have weekends and after work to get anything done but we are motivated and we have a nice shop to get this one done in.

not calculated yet.

working on the 3" full Stainless exhaust. Running everything above the bottom of the frame rails is eating up a lot of real estate. Using the Flowmaster 50's. We ordered Stainless mufflers and they showed up painted????

Any suggestions or advice about drive shafts?

Was considering Aluminum but the Carbon Fiber units seem to be priced competitively.

Anyone have any experience with them?

Rob, Tina or you need to send us a banner or sign. We are shooting quite a bit of Video that will be uploaded to our very own You Tube Channel. We can't praise your stuff or your company more. You deserve the recognition this build and the next one we just started are going to garner.

Are at the tedious stage now. Massaging tin to get that Big Block to snuggle up against the firewall. Will be getting serious in the next couple of weeks as the new engine is on the dyno and will be here in the shop by Thanksgiving.

Tough crowd.

The Mock up went splendid. We are now in full disassembly to get the frame to powder coating, and start on the sheet metal.

The roller is just that, with all fabrication frame wise complete.

I chose to powder the frame Anthracite and going with Lapiz Blue for the body and interior and black highlights throughout.

Well the mechanical side of the chassis build is complete, we tore it all the way down and plugged all the holes to send it off to powder coating.

This is the last of the time Lapse videos for a while, hope you enjoy them.
