TUbe Nuts for brake lines

Hi, I've got most of my 3/16 lines done, but wanted to know is -4 tube nuts are the correct size for 1/4 brake lines. Just running one from proportioning valve to the rear. This is for a 68 Camaro.

Yes.

If you take the dash number and put it over 16 you have the size.

-4 = 4/16 = 1/4"
-8 = 8/16 = 1/2"
