I know its not open to the general public, but I really want to go. I'm already in Vegas and I can actually get the time off to go this year. I'm supposed to deploy again in the spring and frankly I think this will be my last opportunity as I will most likely not be around for SEMA 2019. Is there a way to get in without being a business?

It seems you have to know someone to get in. Lots of guys go who really don't meet the criteria.

Know anybody with any sort of automotive or manufacturing business? They can register and get passes for their "employee's"

An automotive business license and business card with your name and the business and $40 are the basics for registration. I'm not sure how thoroughly they check. Could easily be forged and even if you have to get some cheap online business cards, it wouldn't be that bad. Early registration ends on October 13th. After that, registration is $90 I believe.
Alternately, the exterior areas of the convention hall are completely open and do not require a badge and badgeholder to walk around. (Free)
Sema ignited is open for everybody (at a cost) after the convention I believe on Friday 3-10.

I have also seen tickets advertised for sale on Craigslist in Las Vegas.

They're starting to crack down, I wouldn't know if it would be worth that risk. I know they've gotten a lot stringent on a club I used to get in with and previous attendees that lapsed a few years, and want to get back in... they were more demanding of more information to try and get back in. The rest of us that kept with it were fine. Not sure how bad a new registration will be. At least I'll be in legit this time... the downside is that I'm now faced with the fact that I will have to actually.... WORK... at SEMA.........

I have a pass and live in Las Vegas. PM me your contact information. Do you know your schedule that week? Are you flexible? You can use it for a day or two.

Piggy backing onto this, any companies attending that have a pass that could use an extra hand? I just moved to the area and have wanted to attend since I was in high school so might as well try since I'm here lol.
