I have a 69 Camaro and I mounted the GMPP fuse box into the original battery tray location. The ECM is mounted behind it on the pass fender. As a result, my harness is a little short now. Other 69 Camaro owners claim their harness is long enough, that's why I mounted everything this way. Anyone lengthen their harness without problems ?? I really did not want to cut into a new harness.

Sorry, I have no experiences lengthening the harness, but how short is it? I have that harness with my LS7 and the harness is long, but not that long. I installed mine in a 70. It's all bolted to the firewall

I would think a foot longer would be nice. Right now, I can't even mount it to the firewall. Its about 4 inches short to be mounted.

Cut, solder, heatshrink, repeat

DT, mine is the same way. I mounted the PCM just fwd of the "skinny" part of the fender/inner fender. The fuse panel is mounted just inside the inner fender (behind where the factory battery would be). Routed the harnesses inside of the inner fender. If I had to do it over again, I would just mount the PCM on the inner fender out in the open.

Thanks Chris for the reply. I would of never routed it that way if I knew I was going to come up short. I was given misinformation on another site. I think I will just mount it on the inner fender as you mentioned and call it a day.
