What is everyone liking in the $200ish/tire range? This will be a mostly street driven truck so I can't go super soft on compound, but Ill sacrifice some tread life for a little more stick in the corners when it does see a road course. 10 years ago I was running Potenza re009's and was pretty happy with them but I've been out of things for a decade.

What size? A $200 315/18 is going to suck and a $200 255/17 won't.

Sorry. Running 16x8 wheels. I think a 245/50 front and 265/50 rear

When I had 16s I ran the BFGs G-force sport comp-2 in a 225 and 255 50 on my wagon. They handled ok, lasted decent and did well in the weather. When I went to 17s I went with Nitto NT555s and they handled better but sucked in the rain. The first set I wore out in a year, daily driving and maybe 4 autocross races. The second set was wearing much better because I didn't drive hard. Then when my motor blew with about 5000 miles on the new tires we put them on my son's Pro Touring wagon and they were bald in 6 months. Hmmmm..., "I don't peel out dad! ... I just take corners fast..." The new NT555 G2 is supposed to be better in the rain. Hope this helps.

Yeah, COMP2 if you are married to the 16s.

17s open up your options considerably. With 17s Continental Extreme Contact Sport are great tires or Firestone Firehawk Indy 500 offer good grip for the money.

I've been looking and 16" tires are sure getting harder and harder to find apparently. I'm looking at either a 225/50 16-265/50 16 or 245/50 16 all the way around. After browsing through tire rack for a few hours it's looking like bfg g force comp 2 are really the only tire that fits my bill. I'd like to go 17's but it's just not in the budget. I bought a gutted she'll so the truck needs every thing. Suspension, motor, interior, paint. I've budgeted 10k for this truck for now. New wheels and tires blow right past that number.
