Project is about 8 months underway and inching closer and closer to paint. Special thanks to Jeff Gregory owner of GB Customs in Corbin, KY for handling the majority of the work on this project. Paul Atkins Interior Shop will be taking care of finishing the interior for me. Thanks to Eric Brockmeyer for the renderings and input on the interior design and materials.

Long story short this was a very good car prior to this stereo upgrade. I purchased some high end speakers and headunit last November/December after mulling the idea of just selling the car to begin with. I wasn't driving it much but eventually decided to add a better sound system and keep it. From there I decided to upgrade the suspension and then decided to modernize the interior while maintaining some of the characteristics of the 69 that I liked. After several weeks of going back and forth and researching other add-on improvements I could swing for, I had quickly designed a major overhaul and a project much larger than I could handle alone.

Originally, the car was going to go to East Tennessee for the interior so I needed or at least preferred a shop close by to handle the rest of the work. I found Jeff and the rest is history.

You better reconsider your interior guy. Paul Atkins doesn't stand behind his work. I spent several thousands with this guy and it failed less than 10 miles/3 mos. later. Terrible, dishonest business guy. He looks for every reason to not honor his work or return payment for his negligent, shoddy work. Steer clear. I wouldn't take him a go-cart to work on. Let me know if you want to see all the correspondence/photos of his excuses and shoddy work.
