Searched all over the net and the pan is not marked...Which one of these holes in the pan is the inlet and which is the outlet?

Was you able to get the stock ls7 pan to fit? I have a dry sump ls3 from a grand sport that I am about to put in a 69 Camaro. I was told the stock pan would work but I have read differently.

must have missed this one before ...... badazz... go to speedtech's website and click on their oil pan, somewhere in there is a page with instructions for both their pan and the stock gm pan but to answer your question
drivers side front = pressure to remote filter
drivers side rear = return from remote filter
pass. side front = suction from bottom of tank
pass. side rear = pressure to tank or to a cooler then back to tank

??? only two ports on bottom of factory LS7 oil pan going to / from oil tank ( as Rob asked)
the ports above oil filter/ behind block off plate, run to oil cooler

From the speedtech site

That is not the oil pan that Rob is running
That is the original ATS dry sump Road race fabricated oil pan w/ remote oil filter
I was there when Tyler (Owner of ATS American Touring Specialties), and Shane ( his engineer) were developing that oil pan
and I watched Russ (lead fabricator ) build them
All prior to Blake , Rodger & Jay @ Speed Tech buying them out and the rights
Totally different animal!!

just trying to help a guy out, no need for unnecessary comments
Blake has two oil pans available, both fabricated
one wet sump with remote filter , return bung for turbo, and temp sender port
the other is the dry sump, w/ remote filter and inlet & outlet to oil tank

hope this helps
if not, Rob, contact me direct or stop by the shop anytime

that's great you're trying to help ..me too but, I'm sorry you question what I say and try to undermine me... I very clearly said 4 openings and clearly stated where they go which included the remote filter . So trying to make me look like a fool by saying there's only 2 ...and maybe I should read what he asked ...then without looking at the speedtech site or the picture I post continue to try and make me look bad and yourself the more intelligent one . I also clearly stated where I got the info from and was recycling it . So if you don't like it chirp Blake and the rest of the crew . I'm glad they have multiple pans available and such but we are discussing the factory pan.

Obviously there is a pattern with you stirring up issues on this and other forums, that the moderators have to step in and have you "knock it off"

This was merely a clarification, when the OP is running a factory pan, that only has 2 ports for oil tank, it is confusing to anyone reading it, when posting that there is 4
Not in anyway trying to make anyone look a certain way, not my intention and apologies if you have taken it that way

Hope that you have a great night

lmao ok glad that you monitor everything I post, regardless I accept youre apology and maybe I did take it wrong , I stand by my post where I very clearly state where what goes so I don't understand why it was that you felt you needed to chime in there after ?
being as no one has yet to say ive confused them or where I suggested they get the information from id say the only one confused was you and if I did that then I apologize to you .

oh and where or when have moderators had to tell me anything ...because I most certainly don't see anything here .

On Lateral-G.net twice that I have seen, one of the moderators I know and said that he had to pm you and discuss your actions
here is a example from Lat-g :

You slow down. Jeremy is a long time supporting member and runs an honest, upright business. He can bite away as he pleases, especially when bit first.

Knock it off.

Could be wrong here but if memory serves me correct Jeremy doesn't like us Canadians or at least shipping to us , tried to buy stuff in the past and he didn't want my money . Otherwise seemed like a decent guy lol
Cheers boys

Yep I'm not allowed to stand up for someone else right... and Jeremy doesn't like us ....I was all set to buy some stuff from him and I couldn't in any way convince him to ship to Canada... the fact you are bringing in another site is a joke ...if anyone needs to "knock " it off its you sir ...grow up .
The fact you had to dig for that ...to me shows how immature this is getting ....

Yes everyone go look I got told at another site... jim is the man he is the God and knows everything ....im too sensitive and must run away now. Thanks lord for people like jim to keep minions like myself inline.

Anyways....

Rob, I forgot to ask which oil pan adapter did you end up using for the lines to tank? ( Peterson or Aviaid)
I have used both, and each one is a great piece
I am ordering a Improved Racing baffle for Curtis's LS7 that I am building
Any pics of your progress on hose routing on your car?

Now you can see why the net is so confusing. Here is my configuration and I am using the stock C6 dry sump pan.

Stock LS7/z06 pan, Inlet is the port to the rear of the car (so bottom of your oil tank to supply the oil pump in the motor) and the return is the front port, to the upper part of the tank. FYI if anyone is trying this on a first gen camaro/firebird I made a few adapter blocks to convert to pipe thread for AN lines as well as moving the return line port to clear the steering linkage.
