Picked up this crusty wagon and decide to go the pro touring route. It looks like hell, but has a freshly built BBC 496 stroker backed by a rebuilt M20 Muncie, lakewood scattershield and centerforce clutch. It has a fully rebuilt 12 bolt with new axles and bearings and powertrax unit in carrier. It will need a drivers side floor pan and maybe one on passenger side also. It also has some rust on lower quarters on both sides. The interior is well worn after 47 years and needs major help. I'm leaning more toward keeping the outside looking ratty to enhance the sleeper status, but I will make inside decent and I'll need to add a vintage air unit. I have a pile of parts already to transform this beast. I have AFR 265 cnc chamber heads and Chris Straub hydraulic roller to bump HP to over 600 and be really streetable. The 265 heads make huge torque. I have a Tremec T56 magnum wide ratio with a McLeod SS clutch, quick time bellhousing. The suspension up front is the Speedtech Road Assault package with their AFX spindles and steering arms. I have a Wilwood C5 Corvette upgrade package that bolts directly to the AFX spindles. It has 13" rotors and 4 piston calipers. Out back I have the UMI upper, lower adjustable control arms with the roto links. I also have the UMI rear coilover setup. I have new 3.73 gears to swap into the 12 bolt. I've got some polished torque thrust II with 17x9.5 and 275/40/17 upfront and 18x10 and 295/30/18 outback. Should be a fun project and a lot of fun on the street.
