I actually saw this ad here in Phoenix the day it came out and put his phone number in my cell phone to call......

http://adcache.collectorcartraderonline.com/10/4/2/81358442.htm

But my day got busy, and I blew it off, and now, not surprisingly, the car is long gone.

Folks, moral of the story, when a car comes complete (minus engine) with a ford rear 9, and 5 speed tranny for a measly $2500 (in todays world anyway), grab your car trailor and get there as fast as you can.

I doubt I'll find this kind of deal again soon...:-(

Dave

Finally ready to start anthoer project,,,unfortunatly it won't be with this car

Hi Tony,

Yeah, it's been a while. I started a landscape design and constuction company about a year ago, and it's been a crazy busy ever sense.

I've never worked so hard in my entire life....but that's a good problem to have some would say. It has left absolutley zero time for my car hobby, and to be totally honest I hit burnout mode by the time I finished the convertible.

However I am stating to feel that little "itch" again, although my wallet is screaming "no..no, not again"..:-) I've been casually looking at what to do next (assuming that I can find a spare minute) and have been considering building an insane '70 -'73 camaro or firebird, or making my wife happy and doing a modern day low rider. When she was in her youth, she was a "want a be" lowrider ( kinda tough for a white irish girl) but loved the early 60 era Impala's, specifically the '63.

So in the end, and to keep peace, that will be the most likely route. Actually, it might be kinda of cool. It certainly won't be pro-touring in the true sense, more like "pro-cruising".

I don't know squat about Impalas, but see the car like this.

1.Hard core with power and drive train...maybe a BB-502 with a ford 9 rear (not sure about which tranny to use). If anyone has an opinion,,,fire away.

2. totally upgraded suspension with high quality airbag system so the Mrs. can raise and lower at will.

3.Wheels will be as big as I can fit under the car..sorry...
no 13" Daytons

4. Paint and body- totally clean lines (shaved door handles) and a sick, but elegant two tone paint job with some very discreet pin stripping included.

So that's the general jist Tony, and it's good to back visiting the board again, although not nearly as often as I'd like.

Here's my new [email protected]
