Hi all,

I just changed my fuel tank from stock to a Tank inc. fuel tank with in-tank pump. The tank came with a vent.

I understand it has to be installed in an upright position as high as possible (I understand it has to be higher than the filler neck if possible).
I thought about putting it in the driver's side wheelwell but the tire will probably be rubbing on it (I don't have mini-tub and I run 255s out back).

Where do you guys install the vent?

Thanks a lot,

MIGHTY MIKE B.

Thanks Mike,
Does it smell in the trunk? I use my trunk a lot and being a convertible there is no separation between inside the car and the trunk.

Also, I read that sometimes the vent could spill gas.

There is no smell in the trunk. I have the vent to air under the trunk. I do not smell fuel in the garage when i uncover the car to leave either. The top of the canister is higher then the fuel fill and keeps fuel from going out. I have been happy with it.

Nice! I really like how your setup vents straight into the filler neck.

What do you think about a set up like yours that just goes through a charcoal canister before the filler neck, with no vent valve?

Well, you need a fresh air intake. My system pulls from the filler neck, but without the vent valve, if be pulling a vacuum in the tank, and could potentially collapse it.

Ricks resto mod tank in 68 Camaro, I Used a sand cars specialties roll over tank valve routed from filler neck to out and behind license plate with zero issues.
