Hello, I recently bought my first car (70' Skylark 350) and I'm buying new tires/wheels. I've been doing a lot of research and have a general knowledge on the topic now. The only thing I am worried about is rubbing/fitment. Since A bodies share similar wheel housings, will my tire choice fit without issues?
18x9 Front: 275/40/18 6.15 inch backspace
18x10 Rear: 295/40/18 6.50 inch backspace
if they do fit, the next thing im worried about is height. The height for the front will be 26.66 inches, and the rear will be 27.29.
Will this +.60 inches give my car the stance/look where it is angled downwards like a drag car? Cause this is what I DO NOT want. Or is this half an inch negligible to the overall look of the car? I want the car to look as level as possible. Thank you for reading https://static1.pt-content.com/images/smilies/smile.png
I feel like 275/35 XXX/35 tire height is a bit short. This is the reason why I want to go witht the XXX/40.
