they don't seem popular around by me but I always wanted to try one of these on my hot rods. the shop who does my work primarily uses a Motive Power bleeder and a Mityvac kit which used air compressor PSI

Anyone have feedback if this is worth doing over what most everyone else does in a shop?

I never had any luck with a hand held vacuum bleed when i tried doing this myself over the years. the Phoenix basic kit is cheap but i hear they break and dont work well and you need to spend like $400 to buy the better one.

I had the awesome one and hated it. Traded it to the SnapOn guy for a air powered vacuum bleeder and felt like I got the wayyyy better end of the deal.

Some people like them, I just felt it was more hassle than it was worth.

I have had good luck with my middle of the road one but I am a backyard hack... :)

I love mine. I have the small mityvac vacuum one and the phoenix works way better. Run some fluid through each brake caliper/line up to the master cylinder then go around once afterwards and crack the bleeders once or twice the old fashioned way just for peace of mind and im good to go.

i have one, I like the fact that you have the ability to inject or vacuum the system. I often do both. Nice tool to have. I give it a thumbs up.

It all depends on the system ! If you have an abs system on your car you're pushing contaminates from the lines through the abs module ( big no no ) but if you don't it works fine ! IMO I like using a pressure fed system. Just my 2cents
