Anyone have solutions for the Photobucket issue that's plaguing a lot of forum threads right now?

I went from Photobucket being free to them now wanting $399 for an upgraded account that allows for 3rd party hosting. I see a lot of build threads are displaying the same message. This must've just happened over the past couple days. With how ad-infected their website has become lately, I'm not very interested in giving them any money.

X2, All the pics I have on photobucket I already have on multiple hard drives, thumb drives and discs. They'll never see a dime from me

Yep that PB loss just sucks. I have a couple hundred car picks linked in forums like everyone else. I only use it for car related questions. I used Webshots before that and it went belly up too.

Since I have a yahoo account I was playing with Flikr last night. Its OK but I have to mess with the URL link to strip the crap out it that I don't want.

I may play with Google photo next or Imgur.

No one uses photobucket anymore.

Use flickr or imgur.

Virtually every car forum uses PB heavily, so I wouldn't say "no one".

Having the same issue with Speedtech and my personal posts. Thanks for the insight on others to try. One thing I liked about photobucket is that you can organize your photos in folders, i.e. we had a separate folder for each car we've built. Do these others allow that sort of organization?

Phototbucket is after the money, but what happens when they lose all their patrons to other sites because they're becoming greedy? What they're doing seems counterproductive. :/
