I thought some of you guys would be interested in this (http://www.seriouswheels.com/top-2004-Chevrolet-Colorado-Cruz.htm). By the way anyone know what kind of wheels those are? You should check out the rest of the site also. I've been looking at this site for over a year now and there are many cool cars on it.

yeah well, have you seen this. It even has a six speed manual and is going into production. http://www.toyota.com/vehicles/future/xrunner/index.html

That's alright, but I wouldn't buy one. Do you really need a hood scoop for a 200hp V6 :dunno:. The Colorado Cruz has a 6.2 liter V8(I'm guessing at least 400hp), 6 speed manual, and look at those brakes and interior. I think that Chevrolet should definitely put this truck into production. I can see it easily outselling the Dodge Ram SRT-10 and Ford Lightning.

See there's the problem. If they were to put it into production it would be a watered down version with a spineless drivetrain. The Silverado SS was supposed to be the competition for the SRT-10/Lightning-it's a joke. You can't even get it in a regular cab for chrissakes! Chevrolet has been disappointing RWD performance fans for years-why stop now?

Oh, and that Toyota is just fugly.

The Colorado is cool. 99% of GM concept vehicles are cool, but unfortunately they don't seem to have the balls to build them into regular production vehicles. They should take some lessons from Chrysler when it comes to making concepts into reality.

Here's a picture of the steering wheel. It's called the Trek-R by MOMO. You can get from LTB Motorsports (http://www.ltbmotorsports.com/motrstwh.html)

One of my friends is the project manager for that truck...I e-mailed and he said the wheel is a MOMO. I like it as well.....

EDIT: Looks like Hutch beat me to it.....

I thought this truck was very cool too and I was going to post it about 2 weeks ago and forgot. My bos has the regular Colorado so he is right on top of any pic or anthing that is mentioned on the internet about the Colorado trucks.

oh my good lord. beauty... come on Mark, since when does something late model not constitute pro-touring? I thought it was taking something that was a road pig ear, and turning into a cornering silk purse. I really do not know waht to say, that is what the SS S10 should have been, not just the blah ZQ8 suspension. damn...that IS the definition of a muscle truck.

too bad they'll never build it.

They look like FIKSE wheels to me.

cjhutch

I don't think they are Fikse wheels. First off they have all those bolts around the outer edge like a three piece wheel and second they curve a little more than the Fikse wheels towards the top.

Since always, IMO.

So Mark, what would you categorize the truck as?

Look kinda like Simmons wheels to me.

So Mark, what would you categorize the truck as?

A "Sport Truck".

Just like Vettes, Vipers, etc. are "Sports Cars", if you modify them, they they are just that, a modified "Sports Cars", not Pro-Touing.

Think back to when the whole Pro-Touring theme/name started. CHP was the first mag to go with it. Ever see them label a late model as "Pro-Touring?"

Everyone can have there opinion on this, and this has always been mine. No late models, no exceptions.

So if I take a Honda Civic and upgrade the brakes, wheels and tire, and performance by adding a fart can and a intake, then it'd be "Pro-Touring" too? Hardly.

That's not what I'm saying at all. I respect your opinion and after thinking it over I agree that it's not pro touring, just the first thing that came to mind when I saw it. I also think it's a little more than just a "sport truck." The S10 Extreme was labeled as a sport truck because it was lowered and had minor body treatments, so I wouldn't call this a sport truck. Let's just call it Awesome and leave it at that.

I like the Colarado Cruz..... I didn't care for the Toyota. Those wheels resemble Simmons 3pc. wheels to me.
